Review Process
All manuscripts submitted to Jurnal Gerbang Perbatas must follow this journal's focus, scope, and author guidelines. The journal applies a double-blind review process. Before the reviewing process, the Editorial Board will pre-screen the articles by checking the scientific quality, readability, and suitability to the journal scope. Manuscripts not meeting the journal's scope, standards, and criteria are rejected promptly without external review.
A minimum of two reviewers will assess one article. The reviewer will address the strengths and weaknesses to improve the quality and evaluate the article. The standard time for reviewing a paper is three weeks with a maximum of two weeks of extension. Editors will contact the reviewers once a paper is sent, with periodic reminders of their due date.
After all the reviews have been handed the reports, the editor will decide and contact the corresponding author. Suppose the editor's decision is not to decline the paper. In that case, the authors have three weeks to respond to the report (address the reviewer's questions and comments and introduce revision in the article).
